The compliance with minimum requirements is a prerequisite for good lighting. They are defined as quantitative and qualitative criteria and published in European and national standards and regulations, in EU guidelines or their nationally implemented statutory provisions. The countries’ photometric societies’ recommendations, which are listed in tables in the appendix (see chapter 10), contain references for lighting planning.
