TRILUX Helps Achieve BREEAM Excellent at Bristol’s Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone

02.03.2015 | Projects

The latest addition to Bristol’s Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone, 2 Glass Wharf has achieved a BREEAM Excellent Grade A rating thanks in part to the choice to go 100% LED.

The project, which provides 98,523 sq ft of state-of-the-art office space, sits on the water front at the heart of the new business district. The world’s largest professional services network PwC have recently signed a 15 year lease on 3 floors of the property. Katharine Finn, PwC's Senior Partner in Bristol said, "2 Glass Wharf will provide a modern, creative work space. Our new office will secure an efficient and flexible way for our teams to work, from a more environmentally and sustainable building, reducing our carbon footprint.

The lighting scheme sees TRILUX’s Liventy recessed flat panel luminaire throughout the office space. Delivering the latest in LED technology, Liventy is both efficient, providing 111 lm/W  and achieving a calculated Specific connected load for lighting  of 3.93 W/m² (equating to 0.95 W/m²/100 lx) and comfortable, achieving a UGR rating of 20.8.

In other areas Inperla Ligra downlights and Scenatic Point spotlights were used to create flow and interest. In the Car Parks and Plant Rooms TRILUX’s waterproof luminaire Oleveon was chosen for its IP66 rating and 100 lm/W luminous efficacy. TRILUX also supplied the softer lighting in the reception area with continuous lines being formed by Solvan and Coriflex product ranges, creating inviting optimal illumination.
