Danone Headquarters

Danone’s new headquarters in Hoofddorp embodies its “One Planet, One Health” vision, both in sustainable architecture and in prioritizing the wellbeing of its users. The building not only achieved the sustainable LEED certification but also the WELL Gold Building Standard, awarded by the Dutch Green Building Council (DGBC) for its focus on air, water, light, movement, mind, and materials.

The atrium forms the social heart of the building, flooded with natural daylight from the glass roof and offering views of the green garden outside. Broad bleacher stairs invite employees to gather, relax, or attend lectures, creating a central meeting place in a bright, open environment.

TRILUX supported the WELL certification with a tailored lighting concept that optimizes daylight use and high-quality artificial light to support the circadian rhythm. Different lighting levels were integrated for various tasks such as reading, concentration, or socializing through a balanced mix of ambient, direct, and indirect light, ensuring comfort, functionality, and wellbeing throughout the headquarters.
