The tough weather-proof luminaire for extreme situations
Pro-level efficiency, quality and intelligence
Simply planned. Flexibly refurbished. Fit for the future.
Market-leading LED moisture-proof luminaires achieve energy efficiencies of over 190 lm/W and thus ensure permanently low operating costs. Smartness is now also a sensible option in many areas of application. Energy consumption and CO2 emissions can be further reduced through lighting management. Ideal for refurbishment projects: simple wireless networking.
Extreme temperatures fro -30 °C to +35 °C, corrosive gases, humidity, vibrations - with protection ratings up to IP69K, TRILUX moisture-proof luminaires are suitable for use in challenging conditions. Thanks to their robust design, they achieve a service life of up to 100,000 hours. This means: permanently high-quality light without interruptions to operation.
From summer 2026, TRILUX moisture-proof luminaires will be available with various function modules, for example emergency lighting modules and sensores. The modules can be flexibly integrated into the moisture-proof luminaires on site. The result: more options, even faster installation and a calmer ceiling appearance thanks to fewer visible individual components.
Moisture-proof luminaires are specially designed and have suitable protection ratings (IP protection rating and protection class) for use in rooms with high humidity and splash water. Depending on the version, damp-proof luminaires are also protected against corrosion, condensation, impacts and gases. Moisture-proof luminaires are also generally used in rooms with particularly low or high temperatures. IP labelling and the protection class (I, II, III) are decisive. IP labelling follows the IPXY scheme - where X describes protection against foreign bodies (0-6) and Y protection against water (0-9). Protection classes I - III refer to the electrical safety of the appliance, i.e. how well the appliance is protected against electric shock. The spectrum ranges from protection class I (earthing) to protection class II (double or reinforced insulation) to protection class III (very low safety extra-low voltage, e.g. 12 V).
Damp or wet room luminaires are used in areas with increased humidity, moisture, dust, aggressive gases or extreme temperatures - in other words, wherever conventional luminaires cannot be operated reliably or safely. Classic areas of application are, for example, cold stores and warehouses in logistics, production areas in industry, car parks, car washes and technical areas, tunnels, swimming pools and animal stables in agriculture.
The IP protection class describes the protection of a luminaire against the ingress of foreign bodies and moisture. IP is the abbreviation for "Ingress Protection". It is combined with two digits, e.g. IP65.
A luminaire with IP65 is therefore dustproof and resistant to water jets and can be used in most damp rooms. TRILUX moisture-proof luminaires are available with protection ratings up to IP69K.
TRILUX solutions not only impress with their excellent quality of light. Thanks to their high efficiency (over 190 lm/W) and long service life (up to 100,000 h), TRILUX moisture-proof luminaires are particularly attractive economically. In addition, they are easy to refurbish: thanks to the wide range of variants and clever installation and assembly features, it is often even possible to carry out an uncomplicated 1:1 refurbishment. Smartness and sensor control are also quick and easy to realise with TRILUX moisture-proof luminaires. For maximum sustainability, the Aragon Fit and Oleveon Fit are also available as a particularly sustainable RCY version with a diffuser and housing made from 100 % recycled plastic.
This depends on the type of protection. A luminaire with IP44 is protected against splashing water from all directions - this is sufficient for use in covered outdoor areas, but not for outdoor operation. Luminaires that are operated permanently in unprotected outdoor areas, such as street lighting, should have at least IP65 or IP66. An IP67/68 is even recommended for particularly exposed outdoor areas.
