ConVision®

Technology from TRILUX for pleasant light

When do we no longer experience light as merely functionally sufficient, but as pleasant? An important factor is that lighting subtly supports visual perception and orientation in a room. To achieve this, disturbances and distractions caused by the light source or light-emitting surface are largely reduced – using technologies that take nature as their model.

The result is a visually calm appearance in the peripheral field. With ConVision®, the TRILUX lighting experts have succeeded in meeting these demands and thus creating a building block for efficient, economical and simultaneously attractive luminaires.

Advantages

Luminaires with ConVision® technology – for example the Creavo luminaire system, the Sonnos range of downlights, the Lenty range of spotlights, the Finea light channel and the E-Line Next continuous line system – generate this particularly pleasant light: it is directional, and space and objects are particularly perceptible three-dimensionally.

It does not cause glare, and low luminance levels and gentle contrasts at the light emission surface allow the origin of the light to be surmised. The luminaires have a calm and discreet effect. It enables nuanced lighting concepts through various light distributions from a uniform design. This is a principle that works just as well with linear luminaires as with downlights or spotlights.

Glare-free

The lens optics with low spill light and the precisely calculated shielding by the limiter result in pleasant glare control.

Sustainable

The highly efficient lens optics are designed according to the TIR (Total Internal Reflection) principle and are therefore almost loss-free. The directional character of the light enables up to 60% reduction in connected loads compared to planar lighting.

Bionic

Convex microstructures on the lens surface are arranged according to models from nature. They reduce contrasts in the residually low spill light component for particularly calm light emission. The view into the luminaire remains free of disturbing "flashes" or hard reflections, and the resulting internal scattering softens the light cone in a precisely defined way.

The technology

Highly developed TRILUX technology is behind the pleasant, natural light effect of ConVision®. The basic structure of a ConVision® lighting system always consists of two elements that are precisely matched to each other and avoid a negative influence on the useful light: the lens for light control and the limiter for restricting direct glare and unwanted spill light.

Individual

The limiter is not a reflector. For this reason its design can meet aesthetic criteria, for example coordinated with the interior design in white, silver or matt black. Size-optimisedas small as possible, as large as necessary. Luminaire dimensions and limiter depth always have the ideal shape for the respective application.

Thanks to this unique combination of properties, our ConVision® technology with the Creavo, Finea, E-Line Next, Sonnos and Lenty luminaire ranges thus offers an optimum balance of efficiency and visual comfort: for sustainable, pleasant light.

Circadian

Human Centric Lighting

Of course, ConVision® lighting technology is also suitable for Tunable White LEDs for use in HCL lighting concepts. TRILUX meets the particularly high demands for mixing the light colour components with precise adjustment of the lens material.

Morning

The sun rises. Artificial lighting with a high blue light content ensures cosiness in the room and a focused start to the day.

Noon

The sun's zenith is achieved at midday. This is the brightest time of day. Natural and artificial lighting are, in their spectral composition, now very similar. The cool light has an activating effect.

Evening

The position of the sun is low. In the evening hours, high blue light components in artificial lighting are avoided so that our biological clock does not get out of sync. Warm light and reduced illuminances have a relaxing effect and prepare for the biological rest phase at night.

Lighting solutions

NuancedWith ConVision®, TRILUX realises a wide variety of distributions, including asymmetric light : in the Creavo system for example, wide distribution optics with UGR < 19 or accentuated distributions with UGR < 16 as well as wallwashers, for example for blackboard lighting in schools. The programme is being continuously expanded.
