Cold stores

Fruit, vegetables and other perishable goods stored in distribution centres need controlled conditions to preserve them. This often means extreme temperatures of +5 °C to +8 °C and sometimes even down to -30 °C. Lighting solutions for these areas must provide a long service life and low maintenance – for minimum disruption, high luminous efficiency to keep costs low in facilities that run 24hours and low glare for worker comfort.

Further consideration should be given to the luminaire protection. A robust luminaire with a high IP and IK rating are vital to avoid breakages, faults and damage to stock and lighting. TRILUX recommends Mirona Fit LED, E-Line LED and the X-Range weatherproof luminaires Nextrema G3 LED and Araxeon LED to achieve optimum uniform light in cold storage areas.
