What a brilliant achievement! The TRILUX Light Campus as well as four TRILUX luminaires were crowned “Winners” in the internationally noted German Design Awards 2020 in the categories “Interior Architecture” as well as “Excellent Product Design – Lighting”. The Luceos free-standing luminaire, Aragon Fit LED, E-Line NEXT LED and Jovie LED were able to win over the international expert jury with ground-breaking design and innovative technology. The awards ceremony will take place on 7 February 2020 in Frankfurt am Main.

The German Design Award is one of the world's most prestigious design accolades. Each year, the premium award of the German Design Council distinguishes top class product design and creative concepts. This year, TRILUX was able to score a total of five of the coveted awards. The winners are:

TRILUX Light Campus

With the new construction in Cologne, the light expert has realised its vision of the office of the future, based on an innovative light concept. The lighting design ranges from the outdoor facilities across the indoor space and into the product exhibition space. Light lines guide visitors from the outside to the inside and through the building. In the entrance area, the light sculpture “Cloud”, which measures roughly 40 m2, greets visitors. The impressive work of art, which consists of individual LED tiles which can be operated with dynamic light scenes, arches from the ceiling in a cloud-like way.
The jury certifies the high degree of lighting design expertise of Berlin lighting design offices “Jack Be Nimble” JBN as well as TRILUX and honoured the “interesting combination of exclusive lighting design and elegant language of form.” The TRILUX Light Campus was designed by GRAFT Architekten.

Luceos free-standing luminaire – slender and elegant

With its slender and attractive design, the free-standing luminaire Luceos excellently integrates into modern office environments. Its unique feature is the particularly flat luminaire head with separately controllable direct and indirect light components. The elegant free-standing luminaire won over the jury with minimalist design and excellent lighting quality.

Aragon Fit LED – top performance in damp environments

Aragon Fit LED combines excellent quality of light and materials with maximum efficiency and scores points with a wide range of optics and intelligent components such as light management and sensor systems. “An interesting product which integrates harmoniously into many styles of architecture, can be adapted to various framework conditions and provides a high degree of user comfort”, the jury concluded.

E-Line NEXT LED – attractive design down to the last detail

With E-Line Next LED, TRILUX sets new lighting standards. Flexibility, efficiency, service life, quality of light, comfort or future-safety – E-Line Next LED scores points with excellence on all levels and is the ideal fit for continuous-line projects in industry, office, education or retail environments. “An elegant continuous-line solution which is sophisticated in form and technology down to the last detail”, stated the jury.

Jovie LED – versatile outdoor luminaire in purist Bauhaus design

Jovie LED (Design: Office for Visual Interaction (OVI), New York) is a reminiscence of the famous school of ideas from the 1920s and scores points with reduction instead of flamboyance. The jury’s assessment: “In terms of form, it is distinguished by a reduced, slender appearance which can discreetly blend into a great variety of environments – be it city or parks.” Product development placed special emphasis on details such as the seemingly free-floating luminaire head and material quality.
