Deutsches Historisches Museum

Berlin

The Zeughaus “Unter den Linden” in Berlin houses the permanent exhibition of the Deutsches Historisches Museum dedicated to the 2,000 year-old history of Germany.

As the oldest building along the boulevard Unter den Linden, the Zeughaus itself has a highly eventful 300-year history that witnessed destruction, reconstruction and many conversions. Project-specific special luminaires were created for a stairway as well as the “Das Tönnchen” meeting room, which confidently master the balance between historic architecture and modern lighting technology. The suspended luminaires and the special profile luminaire harmonise ideally with both the building structure and the atmosphere of the rooms.
