BUILDING INFORMATION MODELING
BIM – Building Information Modeling is currently revolutionising building planning. Here, no more floor plans are created on the computer – the building is three-dimensionally constructed in detail, digitally. In contrast to CAD, all objects, e.g. doors or luminaires, have common characteristics and connections with BIM. In a BIM model, a luminaire for example is uniquely defined via its place of installation and connected load.
The data of the different BIM objects is made available by the specific manufacturer – the BIM building model is then added by the specific technical planners. In this way, a highly informative digital building model is created that not only serves as a template for construction and calculation, but also as documentation for facility management after the building has been completed.
The complete Portfolio
TRILUX makes BIM data blocks available for its complete online luminaire portfolio. Users can download data for 69 product ranges in the Revit format (BIM application by Autodesk).
