Conversion of the former railway administration in Cologne to become the new headquarters of the European Aviation Safety Agency was implemented according to designs by kadawittfeldarchitektur in cooperation with Graf+Graf Architects.
Upgrading of the heritage-protected existing construction takes into account the historical facade and references the mansard roof destroyed in World War II in the form of added storeys behind glass fronts. Modern and flexible office spaces have been created that cover all standard workplace concepts ranging from cell office to business club. In harmony with the architecture, around 2,000 luminaires guarantee high quality of light in the offices, meeting rooms, access zones and functional rooms.
