The headquarters of the Berlin “Unter den Linden” State Library have been undergoing full renovation supplemented by new constructions since 2004. 

Luminaires were successively developed according to specifications by Atelier Kress&Adams for the various building sections, including project-specific pendant luminaires in various sizes and numerous desktop luminaires in the reading rooms. A further striking special luminaire model resembling a “cushion of light” was produced and installed in four versions. The largest luminaire has a diameter of 2.5 metres with luminous flux of 30,000 lumens.
