During the opening week of the 19th Architecture Biennale in Venice, TRILUX, KEUCO, and Gira welcomed architects and designers to their exclusive meeting point as part of the BERÜHRUNGSPUNKTE initiative. From 7 to 11 May 2025, more than 3,000 guests gathered at the historic Palazzo Contarini Polignac, located directly on the Grand Canal. The venue provided the perfect setting for personal encounters and inspiring professional discussions on key topics such as sustainability and renovation.
Since 2022, TRILUX has been a part of the BERÜHRUNGSPUNKTE initiative. As a market leader in professional lighting solutions, the company used the Biennale as an opportunity to make new contacts, strengthen existing relationships, and build connections with other trades. This cross-industry exchange promotes mutual understanding and facilitate the implementation of holistic projects. The Biennale’s motto, “Intelligent. Natural. Artificial. Collective.”, aligns perfectly with TRILUX’s own philosophy.
“Light connects the natural and the artificial, creating a harmonious and holistic spatial experience. Our solutions enable architects and designers to shape environments that open up new perspectives - through sustainable technologies and the creative, intelligent use of light,” explains Karsten Müller, Managing Director of TRILUX Vertrieb GmbH and Director Architectural.
The BERÜHRUNGSPUNKTE meeting point offered a unique setting for professional dialogue and networking. Key topics included sustainability and the renovation of existing buildings. Through real-life project examples, speakers not only highlighted best practices but also shared insights into the processes and challenges involved in implementation.
As part of the POINTS OF VIEW series, renowned experts discussed how architecture and technology interact in the context of climate change. Martina Weiss from Licht Kunst Licht AG and Sophia Klees of the lighting design studio jack be nimble presented the unique interplay between architecture and lighting. In the group exhibition No Doubt About It, international architecture firms showcased innovative current projects and offered exciting insights into the ideas behind them. Another highlight was the exclusive curators’ talk with TEAM STRESSTEST, the team behind the German Pavilion. In a discussion led by Prof. Jan R. Krause, they shared fascinating perspectives on their exhibition concept, which focuses on the overheating of cities.
With over 3,000 guests and consistently positive feedback, the BERÜHRUNGSPUNKTE meeting point proved to be a valuable platform for exchanging ideas and solutions. “The strong interest in our program confirms that we are making an important contribution to the dialogue on the future of architecture,” summarized Karsten Müller.
