PRODUCTION PROCESSES

Water consumption is measured and continuously reduced at all TRILUX sites. Waste water is discharged exclusively into municipal waste water systems in accordance with official regulations. At Arnsberg we operate our own water treatment plant to adjust the pH value.

We work tirelessly to reduce the impact of our business on the planet. However, to make a difference, a company must know exactly what that impact is. 2020 was the first year we tracked our corporate footprint, and 2021 is currently being assessed. We are also focusing on measures to increase the energy efficiency of machines and buildings and to optimise our material flows, including project packaging.  

The Arnsberg site as well as Alhama de Aragón and Zaragoza in Spain implements certified environmental protection management in accordance with ISO 14001. Arnsberg and Zaragoza also have certified energy management according to ISO 50001. Our Spanish subsidiary ZALUX is certified according to ISO 9001 quality management as well as ISO 14001 environmental management. In the course of environmental reporting, TRILUX continuously records values on energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, water extraction and waste generation; this database helps us to identify potential for improvement and to derive realistic targets for even greater sustainability.
