Boxing means speed, focus and attention as well as high-impact movement in the ring. Horizontal illuminance as well as excellent uniformity are intended to support the athletes. For national and international competitions, a minimum maintained value of 2.000 lx is required. Vertical illuminance – at least 50% of horizontal values – is intended for referees, coaches and spectators. Television requires up to 1.400 lx (group C) according to recording distance. Excellent colour rendering is important for experiencing the sports event as well as for film and television recordings.
