EN 12193 contains 28 tables with requirements for indoor and outdoor sports facilities. In this chapter, photometric design values for indoor sports according to EN 12193 are summarised in table to table (see also table). All illuminance values in the aforementioned tables are local averages (symbol Ēm) and maintained values (index m) which must not be undercut at any time. They apply to the principal area (PA). Where the total area (TA) is also specified in the table, the illuminance of the total area TA must be at least 75% of the value of the (usually smaller) principal area (PA) of the sport in question (definition of areas TA and PA see section "Reference areas"). The uniformity Uo=Emin/Ē is also listed in table to table.
