Economic efficiency of lighting

Healthcare facilities who are economically successful health service providers have to be aware of costs – including domestic engineering systems – at all times. Costs for lighting are a significant factor in 24-hour hospital operation.

The latest lamp technology combined with control gear and luminaires as well as  using a building system management to control light  based on presence detection and daylight utilisation provides lighting installations with high visual comfort and low operation costs (q.v. chapter "Light and economic efficiency" and chapter "Light and the environment").
